Hood vents were added to improve engine cooling because the radiator duct design restricts under-hood air flow. Original cars had one air vent opening at the back of the hood, but my car has a reinforcement rib here, so two vents were placed to the side of the hood.

Vent screen was formed to make the screen surface level with hood surface. First made a paper template with raised edge (using metal brake) and then a similar vent screen.

Underside after installation (used PL polyurethane sealant for glue and black silicon caulk) One piece metal frame was cut from sheet aluminum and later painted black.
