These pictures were taken before and after AMTRAK was formed. They are representative of Southern's carbody engines. After AMTRAK took over passenger service, Southern's F7s were evidentially retired. There was some operating overlap between AMTRAK and Southern Passenger service. Southern used their retired F7s to pull excursion trips much to the delight of avid Southern railfans. |
